VICTORY ON N24 DEBUT - 30th September 2007

Michael Mallock took the RSWilliams prepared Aston Martin N24 to a dominant victory in todays AMOC race at Donington Park.

After starting second on the grid, Michael took the lead on the exit of the first corner, and built a steady gap to the following pack. Michael took victory by 19 seconds in the 12 lap race, the cars racing debut.

The second race of the day, a 30 minute 2 driver race saw Michael lining up 5th on the grid. Another good start saw Michael into second place by the third corner of the Derbyshire circuit. The lead car, a Lotus Exige, proved to have too much pace and had an 8 second lead by the time of its pitstop.

Driving on his own, Michael came into the pits to do his 'driver change', the penalty for driving on your own however is a mandatory 30secon stop before getting back into the car. Leaving the pits with over a 20 sec gap to the lead, Michael set about catching the lead car. Bringing the gap down by over a second and a half a lap brought Michael within 2 seconds of the victory at the flag! A great result, which turned out to be a class victory!

The next event for the N24 will be the final round of the FIA GT4 Championship at Magny Cours, 14th OCtober.
